There are many methods of hair removal.
Whether shaving, waxing, sugaring or laser – they all promise to get rid of annoying hair.
But which one works best for you?
In this article, you will learn whether sugaring or shaving is better for you.
Sugaring: The gentle method for permanent hair removal
Do you want velvety soft, smooth skin?
Then you need to get rid of the hair!
The easiest way to do this is to use a razor.
Although the blade is a good way to remove hair, the short-lived results are frustrating.
As soon as the hair is gone, it sprouts again!
If you are looking for a long-lasting method of hair removal, it is better to turn to methods such as sugaring.
Sugaring offers several advantages over shaving, which we will discuss below.
Advantages and disadvantages of shaving
Shaving is a classic method of hair removal.
It is quick and uncomplicated.
Many people shave unwanted hair in the shower as they pass by.
This is practical in everyday life, but does not always produce good results.
Shaving can lead to ingrown hairs and inflammation.
Depending on hair growth, it sometimes only takes a day for stubble to reappear.
As soon as the skin is smooth, the great result is gone again!
That’s frustrating!
If you want permanently soft and hair-free skin, it’s better to use other methods such as sugaring.
Advantages and disadvantages of sugaring
Sugaring is a method of permanent hair removal.
Sugaring uses a sugar paste to remove hair.
This ensures that the result lasts for several weeks, depending on hair growth.
After several treatments, the hair also grows back much thinner and softer.
Sugaring is also a particularly gentle method of depilation.
It is significantly less painful than waxing or depilation, for example.
Ingrown or inflamed hair roots are also significantly less common with sugaring.
For optimal sugaring, we recommend a visit to the beauty salon.
The method is most effective when applied by trained professionals.
Depending on your hair growth, it is ideal if you visit the beauty salon approximately every four to six weeks for depilation.
Unlike shaving, you will then have a long period of peace and quiet.
Sugaring therefore pays off!
This is how a sugaring treatment works
Sugaring is a method of hair removal using sugar paste.
We produce our own paste, “Grandma’s Sugar”, ourselves.
During the treatment, the sugar gel is applied to the skin in the area to be depilated.
Then, depending on the hair growth, the gel is pulled off in or against the direction of growth to remove the hair.
Sugaring can be applied to all areas of the body:
- Face
- Armpits
- Legs and arms
- Intimate zone
- Back
- Chest
- Belly
One advantage of sugaring is that the paste does not stick to the skin.
This prevents ingrown hairs and skin irritation.
Sugaring is therefore also suitable for sensitive skin and skin conditions.
Many of our customers also report that sugaring is less painful for them than waxing.
We also have good news for neurodermatitis patients or people with sensitive skin: Sugaring offers you very good results without side effects.
To make sure that sugaring is suitable for you, we recommend that you consult your doctor before your first appointment.
We will also be happy to advise you on whether sugaring is a suitable method of hair removal for you.
