Waxing is more painful than sugaring.

Although the perception of pain varies greatly from person to person, waxing is generally described as more unpleasant.

Waxing can be very painful because of the procedure and the sometimes too hot wax. This is not the case with sugar gel, as it is applied without heating.

Wax consists largely of chemical ingredients, whereas sugar gel consists of 100% natural ingredients. At HR Hair Removal GmbH, we also use our own sugar gel“Grandma’s Sugar” and therefore guarantee you a vegan natural product.

When the wax is applied, it not only sticks to the hair but also to the skin, which can cause severe irritation. Our sugar gel only sticks to dead skin cells. Hair is gently removed along with the root and a natural exfoliation takes place at the same time. Thanks to this property, sugaring can also be used several times on one area of skin without damaging the skin.

In addition, our sugar gel is water-soluble, so the skin is simply washed with water at the end of the treatment. This soothes the skin and is therefore also suitable for very sensitive and allergic skin. What’s more, all residues are removed by the next shower at the latest and there are no annoying wax stains that are still sticking to the skin after three days.

The cooled and hard wax, on the other hand, hits the soft skin and hair, which increases the chance of hair breakage compared to sugaring.
The wax grips the hair at all costs. However, it can happen that the hair is not professionally removed together with the root when the wax is torn off, but is broken off instead.

Broken hairs can then grow in and cause skin irritation, thus negatively affecting the long-term result. With sugaring, on the other hand, our sugar gel is so gentle that the hair is either properly removed along with the root or we go over it again until it has been completely removed along with the root. This results in fewer ingrown hairs and the result is far more satisfactory and long-lasting.

The sugar gel is also applied by hand, which gives a more pleasant feeling than waxing. This means that the entire body can be depilated by hand and sugar gel alone. In contrast to waxing, the sugar gel remains soft at all times when applied by a professional.

How does waxing actually work?

Unlike shaving, waxing removes the hair at the root.

As with all epilation methods, this slows down hair growth. The skin therefore remains smooth for longer than with depilation (e.g. shaving) and the hairs that grow back are thinner, less noticeable and softer.
