The savior in times of need. This sugar gel is rarely used as the sole working gel for treatment. However, we have already experienced exceptions. If the humidity is very high or you often have (very) sweaty hands, then this gel is the ideal working gel for the entire body. We have another tip for you: regularly powdering both hands works wonders.
The firmest
consistency in the Grandma’s Sugar range
Grandma’s Sugar Super Strong is the firmest paste in our Swiss-made
range. The existing HR expert description calls it the “saviour” for
demanding conditions. It is usually used to strengthen a softer working
paste rather than as the only gel for an entire treatment, although very
high humidity or strongly perspiring hands can make it suitable as a
primary consistency.
The vegan sugar gel is made from sugar, water and citric acid.
Prepare and use it at a skin-comfortable working temperature according
to the product instructions. The current price and availability are
displayed dynamically on this page.
When very firm sugar
gel becomes useful
Sugar paste becomes softer as it absorbs warmth and moisture from
hands, skin and the room. Under normal conditions, Regular or Strong may
provide enough control. Super Strong is intended for the situations in
which those consistencies still soften too quickly or when a soft paste
needs a substantial correction.
Typical decision factors include:
- very high room humidity;
- unusually warm or perspiring hands;
- a working portion that has become too soft;
- a need to blend a soft paste to a firmer texture;
- a slower technique that benefits from more initial resistance.
These factors do not mean Super Strong is automatically right for
every zone. A paste that is much firmer than needed can be harder to
distribute and may encourage excessive pressure.
Using Super Strong as a
blending paste
The most common role of Super Strong is to firm up Super Soft, Soft
or Regular. Add a small amount to a clean, separate working portion and
mix thoroughly. Assess the result before adding more. A gradual
adjustment is easier to control than making the blend unnecessarily firm
and then trying to reverse it.
The combination of Super Soft and Super Strong covers a particularly
broad range of textures. Experienced professionals can adapt the blend
to season, treatment room, hand temperature and pace. There is no
universal ratio because the same person and product may behave
differently as the day or weather changes.
Do not return a mixed or used portion to either stock container. Keep
both original products clean and clearly closed.
When Super Strong may
be used on its own
The existing expert text notes that full-body work with Super Strong
is unusual but possible in exceptional conditions. Extremely humid air
or very perspiring hands can soften the paste enough to create a
workable texture during use.
Before choosing it as the sole gel, test a small working portion on
an appropriate, accessible area. Confirm that it can be applied without
excessive force and removed with correct technique. If it remains overly
resistant, switch to Strong or blend in a softer variant.
Large treatment areas should be divided into manageable sections.
Firm material does not justify working on an area larger than can be
controlled safely.
Managing moisture
without overusing powder
The original product guidance recommends powdering the hands in very
moist conditions. Suitable talc may absorb surface moisture when used
according to its product information. Apply it sparingly, avoid creating
or inhaling dust and keep the product away from the face and
airways.
Powder does not replace clean gloves, dry preparation or a suitable
room environment. If hands remain very wet, pause, change gloves or
adjust the working process rather than continuously adding powder.
Warming and handling a firm
paste
Super Strong may require more preparation than a soft gel, but it
must not be overheated. Follow the warming instructions and check the
temperature before every skin contact. A container can heat unevenly, so
assess the working portion rather than relying only on the outside of
the pack.
Use clean hands, suitable gloves and clean tools. Dispense only what
is needed and protect the main container from water, hair, skin
particles and other contamination. Close and store it according to the
label.
Do not apply sugar paste to open wounds, acute inflammation, sunburn
or visibly irritated skin. Correct skin tension and trained removal
technique remain essential even when the material is firm.
Frequently asked
questions about Super Strong
Is Super Strong only for
mixing?
Mixing is its usual role in the existing expert guidance. Very high
humidity or strongly perspiring hands can create exceptions where it
becomes the primary working gel.
Can a beginner use Super
Strong?
A firmer paste may offer control, but Super Strong can also require
more confident application. Strong is usually the more balanced firm
starting point for someone developing technique.
Which paste should I mix it
with?
The existing Grandma’s Sugar range is designed so that a firmer and
softer consistency can be combined. Super Soft is the clearest
counterpart, while Soft or Regular can also be adjusted where their
product guidance allows it.
What if the paste remains
too firm?
Check preparation and room conditions. Do not apply excessive
pressure or overheat the product. Blend a small separate portion with a
softer consistency or select Strong instead.
